That's it although I really do like the superstar traits system that is new. Franchise mode on madden 09 for PSP was deeper then this.

EA will mend madden when they have competition. The longer the monopoly is held by EA, the longer yearly reskins of the exact same old bs will continue.With football games the emergence of pro evo induced EA to actually up their match with FIFA, it's a shame the same thing has not occurred with Madden. Unfortunately in recent decades FIFA is going exactly the exact same way with UT... damn EA.

At this point EA does not care, although I concur that you have to say. They control simulation rights for one more year, and they are most likely making a boatload off on MUT. I would not be surprised if EA transitioned Madden into more of a MUT and Online play departing each other mode as essential as you can. 2K could make the biggest a franchise style ever, but they would not be in a position to financially finish with Madden MUT for a significant period of time considering it would have to come out perfect right from the gate.
