For reference, 200 hours are a long time to get a skill to 99. This degrades in battle. Not just wearing it. The stats do not degrade gradually. They're great and then they stop as it proceeds from 25% to 0%. I cannot understand why you would pay vastly more for a poor piece of armour solely based on the need to fork out small sums of cash every 15 hours of battle. The reason why dragon platebodies are so pricey has nothing to do with their utility: it's only because they're hard to get.
