REAL WEDDING Q&A

I had prepared myself not to let anything interfere or stress me on our big day because I desired to enjoy each moment, and I can truly say I did. You have to become able to make your way through and relax because it passes so fast!

How have you met your Fiance?

Dave and I were close friends in High School that shared many special moments, including attending our prom! We shared the same group of friends. Dave played basketball and I was the basketball manager, so virtually he couldn't get away from me! We always knew there is more to us, but didn't truly understand it until we went away to school. The very day both of us graduated from college, we started dating and also have been together since!

Tell us concerning the proposal!

Dave plans surprise dates pretty often, however for some reason when he explained we were happening one this very day, I had a sense a proposal is at my not too distant future!! I got all decked out smiling ear to ear and anxiously decided to get our day date started. We were residing in Hoboken at that time and ventured into the city to visit a fabulous brunch. From there, Dave said that people would stay in at his office to decrease off my purse, as I couldn't bring that around the rest of our date. We dropped off my purse and walked nearby the seaport to some Helicopter Pad!! In my head, I swear I screamed "jackpot" and was convinced it was a proposal! I mean, who dates for 5 plus many goes on a helicopter ride as only a Sunday afternoon date??

Part of me felt just a little sad for Dave as I know he always attempts to surprise me and I am pretty impossible to surprise. We got within the helicopter, went up within the air, and I immediately felt stressed with how noisy it had been! Dave stayed adorable mentioning the beautiful landmarks of New York City. I was not looking anywhere but his lips, as I was desperately attempting to read them... anxiously awaiting my proposal! We finally landed and I assumed it had been too noisy for him to propose and the man would get it done as we got from the helicopter. Well… we obtain off and there is still no proposal around the corner! I was shocked and speechless….

As we walked to Dave's office, he explained later he was laughing in the head because he knew me too well and knew how secretly disappointed I was. We got within the elevator to increase to his office for my purse and every one of a sudden the elevator stops. I thought to myself, "can this very day get any worse?!" Shortly after, Dave turns in my experience and says he wouldn't desire to be trapped in an elevator with other people and proceeded to obtain down on one knee. I accepted and he then advised there is a camera within the elevator and we'd have our proposal on tape forever and pressed the button to achieve the doorman let's out. It was the perfect proposal and to this very day cannot believe he could surprise me!

How have you chosen the place for your wedding? What type of venue had you been looking for?

We both have big families and knew our guest list would be rather big. It was essential to find a large venue as well as a larger party area for our party-loving guests! We visited the Venetian in Garfield, New Jersey, and instantly fell deeply in love with the ballroom. We knew it had been the perfect spot for us.

How have you decided on your bridesmaid's dresses? Tell us about your experience at FeelTimes!

My experience at FeelTimes was amazing! I was addicted and desired to make sure I could look for a dress that my nine bridesmaids want. My mom is just a little old fashion and loves the feel of all from the bridesmaid's matching, so I wanted her to become happy with my choice and wanted all my girls to appear and feel amazing. Once I saw the color royal within the chiffon blue bridesmaid dresses from FeelTimes, I knew I had found my ideal color and fabric. It went great using the groomsmen's classic black tuxes and our venue. Funny enough- I think I place the most thought into choosing my bridesmaid gowns, definitely more thought than my very own dress!

Who designed your wedding dress? Where have you got it?

feeltimes was the designer of my dress and I first got it at feeltimes.co.uk. It was virtually love in the beginning sight! I first viewed it and knew I had to test it on and instantly knew I had found "the dress". I was pretty shocked to locate my dress so quickly! They say... "when you realize, you realize" which certainly applied in my experience and my dress search!

What was your preferred part from the day?

It is simply too hard to select one favorite moment in the day since there are a million! But, my top three might have to be: I loved preparing with my mom and bridesmaids inside my parent's house the morning of the wedding. We sat around within the monogrammed button-down shirts I had designed for everyone, sipping champagne and telling stories, whilst getting our hair and makeup done. It was this type of fun morning!

Also, I loved exiting the church seeing all our friends and family cheering us on. Dave and I went right into a separate room within the church while everyone is excited...I was so happy! Also, my cousin was outside playing the bagpipes... it had been a surprise detail I had forgotten to say to my Italian hubby, but seriously, what did he expect to marry an Irish Gal?? Needless to say- he loved it.

Lastly, dancing the nighttime away with everyone. Our amazing twelve-piece band had everyone around the dance floor...precisely what we had wanted the whole evening. It was a great time!

What inspired you whenever you were planning your special day?

I checked out a lot of different wedding blogs and joined Pinterest to assist track of all my inspirations while planning. We got married within the fall and I love and also have always loved vibrant colors. It helped simply because you can do whatever enables you to happy-making me think it had been okay to step aside in the typical fall color scheme. I tried to make use of and do stuff that reflected Dave and I like a couple.

What advice have you got for other brides?

It sounds so cliche and millions of people explained this, but it's true…the day passes so fast! I had prepared myself not to let anything interfere or stress me on our big day because I desired to enjoy each moment, and I can truly say I did. You have to become able to make your way through and relax because it passes so fast!!! Enjoy every minute of it!
