The reason the madden community is up in arms over this years

Throwaway because I used to work at EA. The studio devs over FIFA are by far the most entitled throughout the company. There is never anything wrong with the game they know they are the cash cow. I've never played MUT however I've got the Mut 21 coins match through Origin Access so decided to give it a go. The menus in MUT are an abomination, it would make you appreciate FIFA. Opening the free packs I obtained was this kind of chore which I gave up. To open a pack you have to open a bunch which has the pack, that's your package within another pack and nothing else using it. You need to open two packs to start a bunch, it is insane. The RB/LB to move involving challenges, play a game, shop etc evaporate at the time you're allowed to use them and appear when you can't. Menus have loading displays and for some reason sometimes when you move between them they save your own profile, no shit.

There are challenges you are able to do and completing a set has you a player. There's about 5 screens for to the challenge you want and that includes a loading screen and a profile rescue. A challenge could be conducted for 5 yards on a first down. You initiate the drama, run two yards, it sets a large"Challenge Complete" message also takes you back out of this match and provides you a screen telling you you've failed and you should try again. It is such a chore to actually play the sport. This is made all the worse because after trudging through the menus that are mad that the game will crash 50 percent of the time when trying to start a genuine match. FIFA gameplay may be shit but the menus are pain free. Prepare for lagy servers, no triumph given if opponent quits, lively difficulty BS, poorly priced SBCs, lack of originality in special players (considering you French players). Awful pack weight, no Icon SBCs. No Substantial upgrades to Career Mode or Pro clubs. Volta being dull.

I am not enjoying MUT and I'm having fun with all the franchise mode, however I skipped last year so idk if it is the specific same or not. It had been known before the game was released there could be basically nothing new based on the trailers, fifa appears 10x much more promising. Will probably still be disappointed but there was actually no expectation for madden. The thing with Fifa is that I like the grind, particularly from a trading standpoint. Even if gameplay is just as bad as Fifa 20 I will still get my ￡60's worth based on how much I like the first cycle. It's a shame because if gameplay was better then I would play a lot more games and would not get rid of interest after TOTY. In the older school fifa's I would play 1-2K matches annually. Fifa 20 I only played 400 but I'm fine with it since I have found enjoyment with other aspects of the game.

The reason the madden community is up in arms over this years model is a substantial portion of the player base just plays Franchise Mode and the Madden developers have done little to nothing to produce changes over the past few decades. They were fed up prior to the match even fell. It's little to do with gameplay and more related to the lack of updates. The FIFA community clamored for modifications to FUT and within the past few decades EA has made changes. Gameplay wise it is nevertheless a shitshow however, the upgrades to articles have been made. The FUT reddit community is much larger compared to the size of the MUT community. FIFA is catering to the majority which has desired to buy mut coins madden 21 see FUT improvements while Madden keeps investing in MUT if their neighborhood is much more interested in Franchise.
