If you want to start exchanging extra Pokémon with your friends in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you can use two methods: local communication or the Internet. Local communication requires you to be on the same network or in close proximity to the person you want to transact with, whereas using the Internet allows you to transact with friends no matter where you are.
Step 1: If you are trading locally, you will be asked to enter an eight-digit code.
Step 2: Have your friends enter the same exact code and you will be connected.
Step 3: From here, you can select the Pokémon you want to trade, then confirm and watch the mini-movie.

Pokémon that evolve only through trading
Just like the old games, there are some returning Pokémon that don't evolve naturally through gameplay or leveling up.
