Exalted Orb
The Exalted Orb is a high-end currency used to enchant rare items with new random modifiers. It can also re-roll existing modifiers on an item, making it an ideal choice for rescuing powerful but otherwise unappealing gear.
It can also be used to add or re-roll sockets on items. While it’s rare to see a 6-link socketed item drop, this is an excellent way to increase the power of your existing gear.
Exalted Orbs can be found in a number of places in Wraeclast, including drops from monsters and the MMOGAH marketplace. Efficient farming strategies for this currency include running high-tier maps, engaging in league mechanics, and trading with other players. However, remember that trading this currency for real money is against the rules and will result in GGG/Sony banning your account.
Regal Orb
A Regal Orb is the highest-value currency item in the game. Regal Orbs can be used to upgrade a magic item into a rare item while adding an additional affix. This makes it ideal for crafters who are looking to improve the quality of their gear. However, they cannot be used to upgrade items like Flasks which have a maximum of one prefix and one suffix and therefore are better off being upgraded with an Orb of Transmutation.
Regal Orbs can also be used to purchase certain skill gems from vendors. The affixes on these gems can be quite beneficial for many builds, especially when it comes to the more damage-oriented ones. It is a good idea to save Regal Orbs for when you are ready to invest in these items.
Eternal Orb
The Eternal Orb is one of the highest-value currency items in the game. It replaces all current sockets on an item with new random ones, and can add up to six unique sockets if the item is of high quality. It is highly recommended to keep a few of these in your inventory as they are often traded between players.
It also re-rolls special Implicit Modifiers on gear pieces, but the chances of getting the desired effect are very slim. It is best used on rare or high-end gear to maximize its potential value.
These orbs no longer drop from monsters and can only be acquired through player trading. Many players use them to trade for other items, especially unique items and rare gems. Others use them to play the economy and buy low prices items and sell them later when prices rise.
