Prostaglandin analogs include Careprost. To reduce the elevated ocular pressure, it works by reducing the formation of aqueous humor, or fluid in the eye. You should only apply this medication externally. To avoid contacting the eye, place the dropper close to it. Fill the lower eyelid with the medication by gently squeezing the dropper. Until the medication is dispersed evenly throughout the eyes, wipe away any excess liquid and close the eye for two minutes. For additional directions, see the label.
