NBA 2K19 is the first game in the series that wasn't made available for Xbox 360 or the Playstation 3. NBA 2K19 is also the first game NBA 2K Coins in the series in which there is an CBA Mandarin Chinese option for the commentaries of the game's career mode.
The game has been criticized a lot, despite the fact that it offered many gameplay improvements over its predecessor. As would be the case with its successor, its microtransactions left a bad taste in the mouths of a lot of the people who bought the game and resulted in an outpouring of disapproval from gamers. Kobe Bryant was the cover of the series' eleventh installment, which was the first in a series of games to release for the PSP. NBA 2K10 included the hugely popular MyPlayer and Association modes that were later to be featured in numerous of the franchise's subsequent installments.
Even though the game received favorable reviews, players were dissatisfied by the online features and some bugs that could cause a slow frame rate. Many criticized the game's A.I., with opposition teams and players often acting slightly oddly, resulting in several hilarious instances.

It is also the first game in the series with the Neighbourhoods mode, which allows open-world game designs and lets players meet star players. Visual Concepts will at least improve the former in future installments, however.
