You can potentially buy PSO2 Meseta off someone who doesn't want it with a good amount of free money. I mean, these two gamepads do not have L2, R2, L3, R3 and Select buttons (and the Dreamcast is overlooking a right analog stick altogether), but... it just feels right? What a nice way to savor PSO times, and you can not fail using a Dreamcast Keyboard and Mouse probably lol. Actually it doesn't allow the big picture mode one you Want to configure the controller in sport so you have to make all modifications when not playing it's kind of a hassle

You have to turn "use the huge picture overlay when using a steam input controller from the desktop" from the steam configurations, in the interface section. In addition, you should run steam as secretary, since pso2 runs in admin mode. Yeah, I use the first option, this is the only game I have ever seen do this. It's 99% likely due to GameGuard's trashy cheat protection, I'm honestly hoping that they ditch that monstrosity at NGS. I was a bit shocked to see it tbh, I have not seen any other game running that thing likely because circa 2010 I wan na t say. Not to mention things relating to matches should never be running as admin, it has been common PC programming practice since the Windows Vista age, we are way past this stage and shouldn't even need to talk about it. Honestly I'm surprsied MS let the game release on their store with that prompt in it because they are partnered in the US ya know?

Thank you for the ideas, in any case I am not beginning Steam with admin style though, nothing using a web browser built in should ever do so it is a huge security hole unfortunately. Tbh I noticed the PSO patcher really uses embedded internet explorer to fill in it's bottom half, mostly because of a script error that's been occurring on launch of the Steam build every moment, that is really also a safety issue particularly since IE never gets updates anymore.

Though I'm glad I can get any overlay on now since it's on Steam officially, that way I can actually use the controller, wasn't really very doable about the MS Store variation. Talking of admin thoughit constantly asks for this before starting the match, did about the MS Shop version also, they really need to fix that, I believe that is another GameGuard left too unfortunately.

But yeah GameGuard wants to go. It's proven again and again in the previous decade and a half it has been around, it doesn't keep cheaters out, it doesn't keep RMT robots outside, it breaks performance on actual players' customer end, it also generates instabilities. By way of instance, I can't utilize the alt-tab function from Steam input to jump out of the match with the pad because GG cubes it. You also can not use push to talk buttons together with outside apps like Discord because of it. In terms of instabilities, I got a BSOD a few days into PSO2NA play and was gritting my teeth, hadn't seen that BSOD type earlier, looked it up, and it had been, naturally, something that was plaguing PSO players in Japan for decades, and can you buy meseta on pso2 gameguard connected, on the plus side at least my PC wasn't broken, lol.
