Not saying your skepticism is unwarranted BUT so much their track record once Warden took charge has only been to tell us things they're working on if they are in reality coming that is why we barely know anything beforehand now. Therefore the simple fact that they actually talked about this stuff going by their own said and so far stuck into OSRS gold coverage that everything recorded is going to come. The things which aren't that they did speak about like pets were very specifically given no ETA.

I mean ? I have not been playing for a while, since my last return there was all of one new quest, and it was the one which needs you do that high-end elite dungeon; I still haven't been keeping up with either, but from the little I've heard I have heard of more actual content upgrades in Nostalgiascape while aside from arch, I have not heard of very many upgrades for updatescape, and even fewer quests, which are why I play.

We had a similar concept pitched by Mod Ryan one gamejam, in weeks Mod Osborne determined there wasn't enough interest and the idea was dropped from all of Jagex consciousness. In RS3, there is more interest in skilling upgrades that bring quicker advancement from the cost of gp, that's why they instead added Aquarium. They are adding a slower approach to train structure for the advantage of spending less gp. We are obviously playing the wrong game.

I really don't think the same can be said for much of the community. People today hate the idea of clawing back EXP rates on RS3 - even though a huge portion of the success of several OSRS upgrades is they have low EXP rates which lead content to be meaningful more often. It's very much a can't-have-your-cake-and-eat-it-too circumstance. Many of the flopped day-1-it's-dead content thoughts from RS3 would do wonders on OSRS, and much of those celebrated holy-shit-this-is-amazing content ideas from OSRS will be considered junk in RS3. That is in large part because of the fact that OSRS is slow progression, and RS3 is rapid progression.

It'd be programming hell, but I have been thinking more and Jagex eventually must switch to 64 bit integers. There's just so much content it's possible to package into cheap RS gold 120 levels. Raising the cap would roughly double the quantity of feasible levels within an skill. RS3 would have fast progression, but the final goal is a lot further away. They even do a good job filling out 120. Adding even more levels would not work out well.
