So in my opinion crafting is an excellent ability which if done correctly will make you a lot of money. Mining is most likely the most popular skill in all of Runescape. Why? Since mining is a superb way to generate money and RS gold the best thing is you don't need to be a high lvl in the skill. The money starts racking in at lvl 15!!! The big money makers of mining are rune/pure character, iron ore, coal, mithril, adamantite (if you can mine it), and rune (If you can mine it and find it).

To mine rune/pure character you have to have completed the Rune Mysteries quest. Once you're done the quest you're able to speak to Audbury to teleport you to the rune/pure nature mine. Dwarven mines (located near Falador) have a lot of iron stones. The mine north of Al-Kharid is also extremely great for iron ore. There are lots of places to mine coal. You are able to go north-west of Edgeville into a coal mine which has 34 stones (Downside is that it is in the wilderness). But the most famous location to mine coal is the Dwarven mine (including the mining guild).

Places where it is possible to mine mithril include south-west of this lava maze, north of Al-Kharid, south Crandor island, south-west of Lumbridge, not to mention the Dwarven mines (including the mining guild). There are just 2 runite stones in the entire non-member world! They are situated north of the Lava-Maze. Mining is a superb ability that will get you money very fast! I would suggest it to everyone!

Runecrafting is only just turning rune/pure character into runes

There are two varieties of cooking: cooking fish/meat and cooking bread/pies/stews/pizzas/cakes. Cooking fish/meat is not profitable because uncooked fish/meats sell for more then cooked ones. The reason for this is because a few people would like to have the cooking experience over the cash so they will pay more for the uncooked fish. Cooking fish/meat isn't profitable.

On the other hand cooking bread/pies/pizzas/stews/cakes is very profitable. They are extremely profitable because you literally don't spend any cash to make them. For example, to make a stew you need a bowl (4 coins), potato (you can select it in a field for free), and beef (free). So you spent coins on a bowl of stew that's worth 163 coins and increasing. You just gained 159 coins. It doesn't seem like a great deal but the money adds up, quickly.

Runecrafting is only just turning rune/pure essence into runes. It's only profitable for members because they can make all the high lvl runes which cost a great deal of money. Note: These are the areas that I trained; I don't guarantee they will be the finest places to buy OSRS gold train at.
