Path of Exile Scourge has finally arrived. The RPG update on October 22 added the Blood Crucible, allowing players to upgrade items and rework the complete passive skill tree. Path of Exile Scourge has launched a large number of new content, including Scourge challenge league, new skill gems, redesigned passive skill tree, endgame improvements, new unique items and more. After using the blood cauldron to upgrade items to obtain POE Currency, it will be filled with the blood of countless enemies killed by the player. Once a certain level is reached, players can activate the device, which takes them into another Wraeclast ravaged by demons known as the Scourge.

The more blood the player collects, the longer it takes for them to Buy POE Currency. But the longer the player stays, the more damage they suffer. Players can also put items in the blood cauldron, and after killing enough enemies in the more evil Wraeclast, it will be upgraded with a pair of "flashes" modifiers. One of them is a useful module, and the other is a harmful module, which may really affect the player's construction.

Items can be re-rolled by killing more monsters, which will provide a new set of modifiers. Players can also upgrade the Blood Crucible, which has its own passive skill tree, giving it more inventory slots, faster item conversion, and so on. For Scourge, the Path of Exile developers rebalanced all passive skills, focused their power on one main function, and transferred many niche statistics to a new system called "Passive Skills Mastery".

When a player assigns their first significant passive skill in a cluster, a mastery will appear. Putting skill points into this mastery will allow players to choose from a list of more advanced statistics that match the overall theme of the cluster. This new system should help make the tree easier to understand and less intimidating, and give us more freedom to plan our passive skill mapping as we level up.
