Eager to re-enter the uncanny world of Fifty Shades, I searched for an torrent to download. There are many out there, but one was more attractive than the others. The larger file size indicated that it was either a higher quality or longer version of the film--or both--and I decided on that over any other. A few minutes later and I had the movie downloaded on my computer. It took about 3/5 of an hour to complete the download. The movie started 10 seconds later.This 2017 version of Fifty Shades Freed is about two hours long. Just as the first one was, it lives up to its name in that it is a “Fifty Shades story turned into a film”. Though I do not read the books, I can tell that all of the action shots are from inside Christian's gray eyes.The only difference between this one and the first is that Ana now has feelings for Christian (I like her better than him), though her feelings are not fully realized until later in the movie (though apparently she loves him by this point). The story is basically the same, though this time around they are in Paris. The film’s length is not really justified by the content, but I do think that there were a few scenes that could have been cut out.The soundtrack was also updated for this release. Perhaps it was because I had read the book recently, but I felt like it was less appealing than the one from the first movie. The only song I really enjoyed was "Your Song" by Ellie Goulding.Unfortunately, many sub-par aspects of this movie are present in this one as well. The plot is not nearly as well written as the story in the book. Though we do get to see Christian and Ana at their best (well, he gets to be at his best and she gets to be at her worst), it is obvious that the movie was made with a limited budget and mediocre script. At least on my end, there were several scenes that seemed out of place with the rest of the movie; these scenes did not seem like they belonged in the book and did not flow well with the rest of it. The actors do their best to bring life to this story, but by today’s standards, they aren't very good. All in all, I am not impressed with the new Fifty Shades movies. For one thing, it is unnecessary to have two of them. The second movie was not nearly as good as the first, which is why I have this review on this one instead of it. And while the soundtrack for this one was pretty bad, there are free songs on YouTube that are better than anything on the soundtrack. Not only that, but they both missed out on an opportunity to set Christian up with someone who is not Ana (I understand that he is attached in some way due to her being his pal's sister).
