NBA 2K22 isn't the only game experiencing problems. Other people have started writing about how they're getting the exact same message when trying Madden 22 or FIFA 22. FIFA 22 is only available as part of the EA Play 10 hours free trial.

This is more fascinating, since this error was caused by two games from 2K Sports, and two from EA Sports, which are the same games in all sports.

This issue still exists several days later, as per the Xbox Status page. It remains a problem in NBA 2K22, but it's close to being addressed.

An additional interesting point is that Dexerto mentions that they sent another tweet in response to the tweet, which mentioned that they were looking into problems concerning Madden 22 and FIFA 22 in the same way as previously mentioned, but that tweet was deleted entirely due to an issue.
