REVIEW OF NEW PRODUCTS FROM REDMI WATCH 2

\The Chinese electronics brand Redmi, owned by Xiaomi, launched a new smartwatch Redmi Watch 2 on the domestic market at the end of October 2021, along with a series of Note 11 smartphones. Less than a week later, two more devices were announced: Redmi Watch 2 Lite and Redmi Smart Band Pro.

On October 28, 2021, sales of Redmi Watch 2 started in China. In the first 2 hours, the company sold 28 thousand new devices, earning $ 1.5 million. Compared to previous models, the smartwatch has received an updated design, an improved display and new functions.

DISPLAY AND APPEARANCE
The Watch 2 is equipped with a 1.6-inch AMOLED touchscreen versus 1.4-inch display and an IPS matrix on the Redmi Watch. The screen-to-body ratio has increased to 63.7% thanks to the slim bezels. Improved display performance provides more accurate color and contrast, and a sleeker design.



The new smartwatch has more than 100 preset watch faces and an always-on display. The gadget is slightly lighter than its predecessor and weighs only 31 g. On the right side there is a power and navigation button.

The novelty is presented in three colors: black, blue and ivory. The detachable silicone straps are convenient and quick and easy to replace. They will be available in three additional shades: brown, olive and pink. Straps from other models will not fit the new device.

SENSORS AND COMMUNICATION
In addition to the new display, Redmi Watch 2 has an expanded list of sensors that help determine position in space and cardinal directions, monitor heart rate, monitor blood oxygen saturation ( SpO2 ) and analyze sleep. The watch supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou for positioning, as well as Bluetooth version 5.2.

The smartwatch is equipped with NFC support and voice control via Xiao AI Assistant.
