Scourge becomes one of the largest extensions of Path of Exile

In Path of Exile Scourge, the cursed continent of Wraeclast is under siege from an army of demons from parallel timelines. Naturally, players need to venture into this doomed parallel world to crush demons, so they can re-forge weapons in their POE Currency.

Like all seasonal expansions and leagues of Path of Exile, players need to launch a new character to meet a new NPC. A refugee from this parallel and doomed timeline, where the demons rudely take over and redecorate a large number of flames and weird tentacles. The survivor gave the Blood Crucible to the player and told the player to embed it in their flesh to keep it safe. Players also need to collect POE Currency when challenging tasks.

Scourge marks the first expansion of GGG to remove a lot of content from the endgame. In order to make room for a slightly modified set of Expedition events on Atlas, the Perandus League starting in early 2016 will be retired. Chris Wilson, the head of the studio, also confirmed that this will become the future standard, and the weakest and least popular leagues will be unearthed to make room for new content in Atlas.

GGG will look for ways to update Act 2 at the beginning of next season. The extra enemy types and despicable bosses in the first act created an exciting moment at the beginning of the previous league. And players can choose POECurrency to Buy POE Currency.
